How to access the Hosting Manager

What is Hosting Manager?

Hosting Manager is the portal to your web hosting control panel (cPanel). In order to implement changes to your websites and/or email accounts, you need to log in to our Hosting Manager.

There are two ways you can access your Hosting Manager. To know how to do these, check the following guides below.

Website Login

You can access the Hosting Manager anytime within the Crazy Domains website.
To do this, follow the steps below:

  1. Click on My Account at the top of the page.
  2. Select Hosting Manager from the drop-down menu.
  3. Enter your hosting username and password, and click Log In.
On the next screen, you will be on the Home page of your Hosting Manager.

Direct Login

You can also access your Hosting Manager through a dedicated login page.
To do this, follow the steps below:

  1. Open a web browser and type cpanel.mydomain.com in the browser address bar. Replace mydomain.com with your own domain.
Example: If your domain is myhouse.com, then the URL you should type in the browser is cpanel.myhouse.com.
  2. Enter your hosting username and password. Click Log In.
On the next screen, you will be on the Home page of your Hosting Manager.

Congratulations, you now know how to log in to your Hosting Manager.

How to reset the Hosting Manager password

If you want to change your Hosting Manager password, whether it be for security purposes or just a personal preference, just follow the steps below:

  1. Log in to your Hosting Manager using any of the two ways mentioned above.
  2. On the Home page, click Settings at the top right corner of the page.
  3. In the drop-down menu, click Change Password.
  4. On the next page, fill out the following fields:
Old Password Type your current password here
New Password Type your new password here
New Password (Again) Type your new password again, for confirmation
Make sure to create a strong password. The Strength meter will tell you if your password is weak or strong.

If you find it difficult to make a strong enough password for your email, you can let the system create one for you.

To do this, follow the steps below:

    1. Click the Password Generator button, next to the Strength meter.
    2. In the pop-up box, copy the generated password and paste that in the Password fields.
You can also choose to check I have copied this password in a safe place. Then, click Use Password. This will automatically copy and paste the generated password in the Password fields.

Important Note: Make sure you have actually saved the generated password in a safe and easy to recall place.

  5. You can check, or leave unchecked, Enable Digest Authentication for extra security.

Note: Digest authentication is a type of additional security measure. With this authentication process, a request from a user is sent to a network server, which is then sent to a domain controller. The domain controller then provides a special key, called a digest session key, to the network server that first received the authentication request.

If you have a validated SSL certificate then you do not need to enable this feature.

  6. Click the Change your password now! button.

Congratulations, you have changed your Hosting Manager password. You will now be able to log in to your Hosting Manager using your new password.
